John,
First and foremost, welcome to DPChallenge! You've found a great resource to get feedback on your photography, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot during your stay here.
You've probably already noticed that I edited your photo post. As polkop mentioned, we're an international site, and some of our users live in countries were Internet usage is charged metered by the number of MB downloaded.
When linking photographs to the forums, we either recommend using I link (like I've done for you) or using thumbnails. A tutorial on using thumbnails is here. Though our forums allow inlining of images, this is intended for small graphics only (less than 30KB and 500 pixels in either dimension).
If you're looking for specific feedback and suggestions for improvement, you might want to post only a few photographs. Posting as many photographs as you have at one time generally results in viewer overload, and the end result is usually very few comments, or comments that are very general in nature.
Also, I noticed that this is your only post so far, and you have not yet commented on any photographs yourself. I'm sure that you're still looking around and getting familiar with the site, but once you've done so you may want to comment on some photographs yourself. Some users will return the favor directly, and in general people may be more inclined to provide you feedback when they see you're making an effort to contribute feedback as well.
Of course, feel free to ask here in the forums or contact Site Council (via the Help menu above) if you have any questions.
Thanks,
~Terry
