Anyone else find the CCD kinda cool looking. To think about what it is and what it does is amazing and its so small. Its like looking at a man made eyeball.

Note so far from the truth -- they've already achieved light/dark and broad shape recognition by wiring the leads from a sensor directly into the brain of a blind person. It wouldn't surprise me if we have a useable "artificial eye" within the next 5-20 years.

how many megapixels is the blind person? :/

Not much for now -- I think the last I heard they were working on a 64 x 64 pixel system: not quite enough to recognize a face, but maybe enough to keep from walking into traffic.
