Thanks I'd like to do that. That would be fun. I got an idea, let's sucker Tina(tfaust) and Daryl(louddog) into inviting us all over for dinner after the shoot. :){/quote}
Or they can come over here as well and join us for some fun. Then maybe we can convince my husband to get the barbeque going.

Heck... I'll show you guys anything you want to know. That is a small price to pay for a nice little photo safari. :)
I still say we sucker the Fausts into inviting us for dinner. That is something fun to do to. Don't tell them that, though, OK?. LOL ;)

Here are a few pictures I took at a breed inspection. They are of the half sister to my two fillys.
Believe it or not this filly is 3 months old. |

Nice shots from the inspection, she looks really fit.
Our second baby was born last night at 10.30 and I got to see the birth and assist a bit as she had a few problems. All is well and we have a HUGE black and white stud colt, measures 44 inches at the withers. He is all legs and is a bit skinny (just as well or the mare would have popped if he had been any bigger!!! LOL) but he will fill out in the next week or so and I will get better pictures. The vet says he needs lots of exercise to strengthen his Looooooong legs.
His name is DBD Ebony Bar Wonder, Eb for short.

Eb is doing really well, I put him and his momma out for the day in the "pasture" (grass is a bit sparse LOL) and he had a ball. He gains strength with each hour. He spent most of the day sleeping and cantering round and round his momma but not getting too far from her. The circles became increasingly larger!! The other baby just wants to get to know him but this momma is still a bit wary. Cant wait till they start to interact. He is starting to fill out already believe it or not.
Here are a few from today, he is one day old.

Thanks Lori. I'm sure the little ones would enjoy a get together. I know one of the moms would be ok with it the other probably not. :) |

Well our last baby arrived at long last early this morning. She looks like she is going to be a Bay, but unfortunately doesnt have the necessary spots that a paint horse needs LOL. This is strange as her father is homozygous (meaning that every baby he sires will have white spots regardless of what the mare looks like). She is a real cutie nonetheless.
I took these this morning in the barn, it has been raining for the past 9 days and the mud is terrible so didnt want to risk putting her or the other horses out. They have been cooped up for 9 days except for a brief time yesterday. They are all shot available light except the one laying down shot.

Just an update on the other two babies who are growing like weeds!! This was taken yesterday during a brief period where I could get them out because we have had rain continually for the past 9 days, except a few hours yesterday morning. The horses are all bouncing off the walls!! LOL. They are getting to know each other slowly and both love to run and play.

LK, these will make lovely dressage horses...they are nice movers even at this young age...but you can see their potential as you follow their development... they are just wonderful. |

Thanks.
Shiloh the younger one had great potential to be a dressage horse. Solara also has potential for dressage but I think she might make a better jumper (time will tell here) Solara has a 7 yr old half brother that is doing the Gran Prix jumper circuit out here.
We are planning on showing them both in hand later this year or early next depending on when there are Sport Horse classes for them to go into.

"out here" is Arizona. Solara's half brother is Thomas Edison. He is currently showing in New Mexico this week. The lady that rides him also shows in California.
