When I shoot B&W with Raw + JPG on my 5d, they both come up as B&W on the Windows viewer. In the Canon Photo Pro software, I can actually get the Raw file back into color. Is there a way to do this in CS2's raw convertor (besides just desaturating?)? Or does desaturating do the exact same thing?

The reason I use CS2 is because I hear that the Canon clips the extra range that the Raw gives (and that CS2 is able to pull out).

Thank for your help,
E

When you load an image into CS2 RAW it takes the camera selections and applies them. You should be able to undo any selections you made in camera. Since RAW is just the data captured by the sensor the colour info is still there.
