Need to know about changing backgrounds. My original has a black background. I found that for my picture it looks better if I use the levels and change the black to white creating a white background. Is this legal in advanced editing? Its just a color shift but I need to make sure before submitting. Also are the use of a lense in the editing process legal, I mean applying a fisheye lense filter to one element of the pic? Say if I wanted to make a berry fatter or a rock rounder, whatever. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Think you're ok with the b/g so long as you don't take things out of it, just shift of colour......but use of the fish eye lens filter prob not. The way to get a more acurate response, rather than opinion, is to contact SC direct.

You should (can't be more definite) be fine if there is no detail in the background -- but if there is detail...
If the background as a small amount of detail, selecting the background and inverting it may be a better option -- the detail will be preserved, and can then be edited for presentation while the color your wanting.
