Hey now, thats unfair. Its not like I'm going to walk around chanting "Yankees Suck" or anything, I'd be on YOUR turf remember? I swear I wont bring a thread of Red Sox memorabilia anywhere within 100 miles of your (Mumblemumblemuble) stadium, k? |

Get some real "stones" :) I've never been to Fenway without my yankee cap.
Also, don't forget to wave to that Damon guy when you drive past |

Coney Island is so much fun in the winter! It's deserted and creepy and beautiful... the day I got my new Rebel, that's the first place I went... (there's tons more, but those are the betters)
Wintry Coney Island
I'd be down for a gtg in CI...... since I'm about five minutes away :)
But I wouldn't do a Bronx gtg, cuz that's a ridiculous trek for me.

Some crazy ideas:
Statue of Liberty in the morning. It would be fun but the lines maybe long.
Midtown/central park area in the afternoon.
Rockefeller Center an hour before sunset. Stay on top until it gets dark and then go home.

I'm interested! If the timing's right I'll be there! (Might even bring my nephew from Brooklyn who needs to get out and meet some DPC'rs and excercise his 350D...) |

Nownow, be civil. Your acting like a RedSox fan ran over your dog repeatedly or something. Woof Woof, a goldfish...
And I dont have any need for stones, I prefer to have an uppity attitude at people who use sports as an excuse to be rude. :)
I'd still like to be a part of the gathering if the group would have me. |

yaknow, with stuff like the statue of liberty, you're just so limited...yaknow? it's either photograph the statue, or photograph the view from the statue. i personally like a gtg where there's lots of space to walk around and lots of varying STUFF to photograph........but that's just me and i can be weird ;)

Here's a nice route:
Take the train to Stillwell, and walk around Coney Island...then walk the Boardwalk all the way to Brighton Beach, and then meander towards Sheepshead Bay, or go thru the richy neighborhood of Manhattan Beach. It isn't that much walking, and you end up experiencing three distinct neighborhoods and tons of photo ops. Then catch the train in Sheepshead and go home. ;)
Whaddyall tink? |

I was suggetiong statue of liberty in the morning only. Plus it is on an island that is somewhat big to walk around. And the second stop on the boat is ellis island which may be an interesting to some. My suggestion was as a whole day plan where people can join and leave as they wish and people with big memory cards can stay all day.

That also sounds like a good idea we should have two GTG's on different days then like we did a while ago

If someone would like to help with the organizing process, please do! |

I figure we will get an idea of who is coming and wher we will be going, decide on a date, and then make a new thread. |
