I have a picture that I am not sure I should enter or not. Is it possible to get help/feedback from someone else on it? I don't want to break any rules. If it is allowed, how would you go about getting someone's 2 cents?
Thanks :)

here's a free advise - as long as it's not breaking any DPC regulations, then just enter it :) |

From the rules, both Basic and Advanced: "Ownership: The photograph you enter must be taken and post-processed by you. You may let someone else press the shutter if you are unable to, but you must be the one who set up the shot and configured the camera. If you wish to collaborate with others when creating your submission, you will need express permission from the administrators beforehand."

If it bombs, you learned something,
if it doesn't, you still learned something :)

This is an educational site. It is fine to get input on your submissions prior to entering them. There is nothing wrong with seeking a mentor for advice and council. That is how you learn. The thing you don't want is for them to do the actual work to create your submission. You would not learn much that way would you? ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way :-)

One easy way to get help on whether or not an image is likely to be 'legal' in competition is to put the image in your Workshop and then ask the SC for Help via the "Contact" page (Under the Help tab above)
Provide a link to your image and ask your specific question. You will get an answer from a SC member.
When I asked for help recently, this method worked perfectly. |

This rule doesn't even apply to getting feedback on a shot before you enter it...
