You are a good photographer and post process well.

The top two images seem a little soft focused to me. I'm a fan of sharpness so take my thoughts about that with a grain of salt.

Same thing with their borders. I feel that a border is normally unnecessary for an image but that it is possible to use a border to good effect to highlight features of an already great image. I felt yours were a slight distraction from those images.

I'm not sure why, but I put my comments on the two bottom images in their comments section instead of here. The main thing I noticed was pixelation in the lampost image and discussed that there.

Thanks all! I would have to agree with all of you on all the comments. Proof that even a few comments can sum up a picture nicely.

On the old type photos I was trying out a plug in for GIMP called of course, Old Photo. Id did soften it quite a bit and took out a lot of the contrast, will have to go and see what I can do about that. Anyone know if this is legal in advanced? cant see why not but always better to ask I guess.

Chaimelle you have given me so many ideas with that one comment, thanks!

As to the ice and mountain pic, I loved it. My husband loved it. I just couldnt get the mountains to be clearer and they are fairly small, the perspective I know but still. All I did for the color was hit the auto levels button, other than that I didnt do much else there.

On the Lampost I might have to run it through neat image on a stronger setting, I didnt notice the noise until I switched computers. On that one I learned quite a bit about layers, like it or not. I couldnt change the clouds without making the foreground too dark, which had bitten me before in entries. I ended up having to put the post on its own layer too because editing the foregoround made the post strange. Maybe that one calls for another edit also.

Its hard to tell if Im going the right way with edits sometimes. My camera doesnt capture the true colors right, they are always pretty dull compared with the pic was actually of, so in editing I tend to get carried away with the colors a bit. Anyway, imput from other eyes is always appreciated. Ok, yes Ill quit rambling now :)
