How many photographs do you take in a day, when you visit a new place.
I normally take about 300 photographs, and delete 250 the moment I download them! Is it ok? |

Sure...
I take tons of photographs when I go somewhere new...
I don't delete many, except for the ones that are seriously bad. Just never know when I might want one of them. :) |

Of course it's ok :-)
I take tons of shots too. I'm amazed at how sometimes a real gem will rise from all the flotsam later!
The only thing you're hurtin' is the 'delete' key, but heck, keyboards are cheap!

I always hit the shutter button rapidly 2-3 times for almost every shot, not always steady on first but 2nd and 3rd usually turn out as i tend to relax after the first shot. I fill at least 2-3 gig cards each time i go someplace new. usually end up with at least 100 saved photos and trash the blurry ones. |

Ha - another digital packrat just like me.
I am coming up on my one year anniversary of buying my dSLR and went over ten thousand shots a few weeks ago. So I guess I average around 30 shots a day. NEVER could've done this when I used film. |

If you're using mutliple sequential shots to get one reasonably steady one, put the shutter in burst mode; you only have to push it once and it will fire away until you release it. MUCH steadier than repeated hits.
