In my infinite wisdom and personal experience, it has come to my attention that âWoodyâ the ever faithful ever willing to bend for you, loyal and trustworthy photography companion who gave many of you hours of photographic pleasure. Made us laugh, cringe and inspired us has been thrown to the âclichéâ bin all too easily by the sensitive and temperamental artistic sides of our natures.
So this is a call to all the once loyal and loved friends of woody to stop feeling that pang of guilt as you walk past woody on the shelf you left him in months or years ago to pursue you dreams of being the next sports illustrated swimwear edition photographer or the newest employee of national geographic. Or the latest ribbon winner on DPC and get back to those rootâs lol
I know woody is perceived as overdone and doesnât do well in challenges here for the most part but hell they can be funny and if I can look at 1,000âs of sunsets and 1,000s of pictures of the same subject etc each with everyoneâs own unique spin on it â¦
BRING BACK the WOODIES!! ;) post your most loved woody pic here and for those of you that havenât stroked you woody in months SHAME ON YOU!

My woody has been shelved for weeks - new baby & all makes it difficult to get in the mood. ;-)
Good opportunity for an encore of these coulda-been-ribbon-winners...

Still my top scoring photo, though 'Best of 2005' is a reasonably close 2nd.
Did much better than my average score despite the anti-Woody brigade.
I try not to use her too often for challenges, but every now and then I can't resist. She does pretty well for me with stock photos though, so she's certainly not gathering dust on the shelf.

Out of curiosity, what woodie shots do well in stock? I'd never thought such a thing would sell... :) |

The pencil shot is still my top seller at iStock.
Here is a gallery of photos of Woody at iStock. Obviously some sell better than others.
