Is there a filter in Photoshop that can do this well, OR is there a lens filter that can do it, OR what is a great fisheye lens to buy?

Thanks all!

Now does the quality on the Sigma smoke the Peling? Is there a Canon version?

I would PM kirbic or shiqui. Both have the Peleng ;)

you have a 5d.
dont get a peleng you will get a circular image.
take advantage of your FF sensor and get the canon 15mm.

the peleng, zenitar, sigma and all the other off brand fisheyes will give u more flare than a 70's disco party.

what he said, you have a full frame sensor, treat it to the canon 15 fish.

Cool! That's just the mood I'm trying to get!

(Okay, maybe not...)

I have the Canon fish for my 10D and love it. I'm not sure it would get as much use from me on a full-frame, though. Even on the 1.6x it's really wide - about 20mm full-frame equivalent after de-fishing. My buddy was borrowing it to use on his film body when we were in Barcelona and it's a very specific effect that can get old on a full-frame. You can hide the fish effect by composing carefully on a 1.6x crop, but it's always apparent on full-frame. For over $550 you really need to want it.

But of course! They are like apples and oranges. If you want a really good quality lens buy the sigma, however, from my experience with the Peleng, it rocks. It is incredibly sharp for a cheap lens (well, $200 dollars so not all that cheap). I love the effect and I wanted to try something inexpensive before I made up my mind on wether I'd really like to use fisheyes more than just sporadically. My only problem with the Peleng is that the vignetting is kinda gradual as opposed to the Sigma's clean edge one. So....am I gonna get a Sigma or Canon fisheye in the future? Hell yes! But the Peleng really rocks :)

I bought mine on Ebay for $150. The Peleng comes with a Nikon mount and a M42 mount, so you need to get a eos adaptor (works great, by the way). Its a fully manual lens, so it takes some time to get use to set the aperture and the focus (dispite it has an amazing dof). I kinda like the gradual vignetting but hate the huge flare. In a FF you should get a fully circular image.

Its a cheap fun lens that gets you 180º... I try to use it at least once everytime I shoot.

I'm not a fan of full/circular 8mm fisheye as it vingettes too much.
I'd recommend a 15mm fish.
I've the Sigma version and am happy with it on my II N.

I have a Nikon 10.5 that I have a lot of fun with. Here are some sample shots that I've taken with it:
