| Has anyone else noticed how many different countries are represented on the front page, its good to see. |

That's a great observation!
The current ribbon-winners on the front page represent Australia, France, Iceland, Italy, The Netherlands, South Africa, and The United States (California, Montana, and Virginia). Even within the three US winners, they are from very different parts of the country, with quite different cultures.

Plus Rikki's an honorary Asian :-) But seriously, that's what you gotta love about the Internet in general and DPC in particular. It's almost humbling to realize how much we have in common, and how insignificant our differences can be. Especially for the Americans, this can be eye-opening.

I remember when I first started putting shots up here how I felt. I am not a really outgoing person. (Well not before photography) One day I posted a shot in a challenge that was doing well and a great big knot appeared in my stomach. I realized all of the sudden that the whole world was looking at my photography... |

It is quite a diverse bunch when you look at the proflie location of the top ten.
Switzerland/France
South Africa
America
South Korea/ expat South African
London
Iceland
Australia
Greece
?
South Korea
