Ok, I just recently upgraded from a point and shoot camera to the Fujifilm FinePix S5200 (possibly same as the S5600). I am curious as to what my options are for adding lenses and filters. I have tried google and have gotten very confused. One site said that an adapter is necessary for anything except filters, another site said you could just screw lenses on without the adapter, and a third site said that you could use "lense filters" (looked like filters with curved glass) and regular filters but no other lenses.
Please help by letting me know what is possible and what to look for (i have read 52mm and 55mm). |

Amazon has an acessories for your camera that has a telephoto lens, wide angle lens, and some filters. I have only seen a tele, and wide angle lens for that type of camers....as well as a few filters.

Also I am not sure with your camera, but with some of the other fuji cameras you have to buy a screw mount lens adapter to mount the lenses. If yours has threads on the end of the lens you probably don't. |

It looks like the filters on that amazon page are just regular 55mm filters.. maybe you could just buy a different brand, that'd probably be better quality than 'opteka'.
As for lenses, I guess you could get the .5x or the 2x converter and that's about it.. |

what about lenses like this:
//cgi.ebay.com/Tokina-3X-HIDEF-TELEPHOTO-LENS-37MM-46MM-49MM-55MM-58MM_W0QQitemZ7583581524QQcategoryZ106844QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
they have 55mm to 52mm adapter rings, and then just a regular telephoto lense (I have seen others with fisheye, macro, and wideangle as well).
could my camera handle that much weight out in front?
would it even work? |

I also have a Fuji S5200z and have been searching for some lenses to add a little flexibilty..until my wife allows me to buy a DSLR. The only lenses I can find are from Opteka. 2X and 3.2X telephoto lenses. Does anybody have any experiences with this brand, that they care to share.

When the S5200Z has a 55mm thread anyone who comes to Holland can buy my S602Z adapter and Olympus TCON17 1.7x teleconverter.

Just ask then, I am not actively selling it (like on ebay or something like that), it just sits here doing nothing.

I have an Opteka 10X macro and it works really neat!
The best teleconverter is the Olympus TCON-17, and any Hoya 55mm thread filter can be used.
There's a discussion forum exclusively for Finepix S5xxx series users where you can find lots of feedback.
Regards!
