The critique club has only a few active members writing the critiques, but there are hundreds (probably closer to thousands now) of requests each week, so only a very small percentage ever get the critiques they ask for. If there's a specific photo you want some more feedback on, feel free to post it in the Individual Photograph Discussion forum area.

Currently the CC Queue has 239 images to be critiqued which covers 3 challenges. At rollover any critiques left in the queue for a given challenge are tossed. The best thing is as Manic says. Start a thread and ask for comments on a particular image.

The best thing is to join the CC and write some critiques ... you will learn far more from reviewing other people's work in-depth than from the occasional comment received on your own photos.

I agree 100%. When spening a lot of time on an image and identify exactly what you and don't like about it, it helps you understand what will and won't work in your own photos.

If I have time tonight I'll go through a few of your photos for you.

Oh, if more people would join the Club and start Critiquing, that would be lovely.

Anybody remember Lucille Ball in the old "I Love Lucy" show, when she's in a bakery and can't box up the sweets fast enough as they come down the conveyer belt?

(That's a more savory analogy that the other one that comes to mind about Hercules and his Aegean Stables)
;>)

The queue had 320 or so last week, so we're not doing that bad.

I wonder though, are they randomly selected or are they put in in the order they were recieved??

Maybe this would help to prioritize some that have been waiting for a while if it were more first come first serve..

The images are randomly allocated, and the queue cleared out after a week (ie images are only in the critique queue while the results are on the front page).

Krisby, I read your question and, to celebrate the end of my work day, I picked one of your challenge images and left you a "critique club" style comment. IOW, it wasn't an image assigned to me by the critique club gods, but I heard your plea and left you a comment. Hope you find it helpful! (look at Marbles and Blue).
