hear hear goodman...i try to avoid the threads...cuz it doesn't matter what opinion you express or what side you take...some pedantic is bound to read into the fine print..distort...twist...and bob's your auntie

if all the collective hours spent haggling in the threads were diverted into photography...we would have a much higher standard of work to share

Or substantially higher productive output at some work locations! ;^)

I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here, just for the fun of it. :-)

Originally I was not planning on putting the photog's name in the title of my picture. But then I realized that I put a lot of damn time and effort into trying to do the attributed photographer justice and was curious to see how others thought I did (not very good based on my score) ;-). And being that I'm not all that knowlegable when it comes to different photographers, I'm finding it very nice and enjoyable to look up the photogs listed to see how others paid tribute to theirs. There are some wonderful photos that have not been attributed and I'm starting to feel a little cheated that I don't know who it is that inspired them until after the challenge. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not scoring down on those by any means but I may have scored higher if I was able to see what they were going for. :-)

But again, just my 2 measly little cents worth.

I didn't enter this challenge and salute those who did and even moreso those who are trying to vote it.

The photographer's name in the title or a more creative title to hint to the photographer being tributed could help with voting. (This is one challenge where I think the title is very important -- this coming from someone who doesn't normally look at titles ;o))

I agree that the photographer in the title makes it so much more interesting when voting.

To be fair to the photographer that did not put his tribute photographer in the title, I am not marking down but I must admit..if you just nailed a photographers style..I will be influenced by knowing you nailed it!

My tribute photographer is very ...hmmm...undramatic. If you didn't know who my tribute photographer was you might not realize the photo style was intentional.

What is really strange is how I am revisiting photographers I have forgotten about becasue of this challenge, :-)
