I just found the next lens I want, it's BIG and I think it's the only one in it's range...

it's the Sigma 300-800 DG, and it gets great reviews on fredmiranda :)
the price is the only problem.. about $4500...

$4500 for a lens that goes to 800 doesn't sound that bad actually.

I've heard of the 'Bigma' before, but 'Sigmonster' is a new one to me. Cute. :) But I don't think I'll be adding it to my bag until I get that field sideline pass. :)

Something else on the wishlist...If I could become a papparazzi i'd ahve a need for that lens and a way to pay for it!

Ahhh, you got my hopes up. But at 12.5 lbs (5.7 kilos) and $5800 (B&H)I think I'll wait for the IS version.

You'd have to hire a porter to handhold it while you shot.
