Can we move this to rant? Given the title and the argumentative nature, not to mention one more attempt at influencing/upsetting the voting segment of the site, it doesn't seem to belong here.

Move it however you like. I'm done with it.

Rose

Given that this thread has degenerated into circular arguments of no value to the site, and the fact that the OP refuses to leave well enough alone, I'm moving this to RANT.

Better yet, per the OP's request, I am locking the thread. There will be SC discussion on issues brought to my attention, and I feel this thread is of no further value. Thanks for the email. ~Heather~

Ive read this whole thread (cant believe it) and I have one thing to add. When the burst of color came out to be voted on Rose was right in there in the midst of the debate over what offset meant. In your own way you were influencing voters the same as the DOF DQ thread. After that color thread came out I felt that my score went down, I know now it was due to other elements in the picture but I felt that yours and others comments were influencing voters. Pots and kettel's I think paul said.

JUST to be clear. I did not start that thread on interpretation of offset. It as Jutilda. I was on that thread, and if you read it you will clearly see that I even asked for the person who described the challenge to be more succinct for clarification to those confused. I was confused. Many were confused on offsetting yet it being centered or main. However, none of THAT even matters. I still believe such threads during voting shouldn't be allowed. Most conversation along THOSE lines should take place PRE challenge or AFTER voting is done on such issues and not during voting, and that applies to my own voice as well.

This thread is about saying a photo is "unspirited" when it was entered WITH good spirits and good intentions.

If it turned influential, then that is simply because it went off track.

I've been following this thread for a bit and find myself a little dumbstruck and left shaking my head. Now Rose this is nothing personal... how could it be... but I have been so frustrated with your posts in the last while particularily during challenge voting periods. You of all people have never hesitated airing your opinions about any subject under any circumstances and I have on at least on 2 occassions entered a post pointing out the tastelessness of commenting on challenge descriptions during voting periods. You are certainly not alone and this is not an attack on you personally but it seems that unless an issue becomes personal to you, all's fair. You feel that there has been some influence because of threads. Well I don't think that was your opinion before now and it matters not whether you started the thread or participated in it... as you very often do... the guilt lies in your hypocracy.
Perhaps if you want attitudes to change, the wise approach would be to lead by example and show a little restraint. You shoot from the hip and I respect that but I refuse to take your post here seriously when you have shown so little regard for others concerns in the past.
