As posts cannot be deleted by users (or am I just missing this?) the system should be more resilient to double posts, either user error, or network errors after the request is sent and before the response is received when a user might try and resend the request.

Many other sites have a unique id in the form (possibly valid for an hour or some other small time) which is checked when submitted to ensure that the same form hasn't been submitted recently.

You can edit out the text, but not delete the post.

The SC can hide (but not delete) duplicate posts -- we often do when we come across them if it's truly just an accidental duplicate.
