I had a hard time deciding what photo to submit this week.
Here are my two out takes:
River Rock with Slate
and Caught in a Marble

I like the marble. Something missing in the river rock - maybe too tight a composition, more room in the upper right and less in the lower left.

I like the river rock. Something missing in the marble. (just kidding, Dennis!)
Actually I DO like the river rock a lot and would have scored it highly. If this in an outtake, I can't wait to see your real submission! Marble is cool, too.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I intend to shoot the river rock again. I did this very quickly before the deadline, then didn't use it. I shot it handheld at a pretty slow shutter speed, so it is not as sharp as I would like. I'm excited about the textures and colors, so I'll shoot it again with tripod and get better detail.
By the way, my actual Round submission is at 6.7. I'm very happy with that, but I'm sure it will dive over the next day or so. Always does...
