Played in front of around 2000 people (and a few stars) at London's Hippodrome in the 80s. Great gig - thanks to Peter Stringfellow who 'spotted' us. |
This is awesome! I loved it! |

All I have ever done is recordings via my computer with audigy soundcard and mixer - very amateur. I have often wondered what I would sound like with a bit of professional help.
Did you record yourself on your computer before the professional recording? How much help did you have? I"m sure you sound great even in the shower, but did the studio help a lot? Did your wife tell you how much it cost?
This sounds just incredible, Scott. You have a new fan here. |

Holy XXXX Scott! Is that for real?! I used to live in Nashville and went to many songwriter's nights (they were a blast)...that kind of singing would have gotten a standing O! Get that voice in front of somebody...serious!

I don't even have a mic on my computer. I just like going to karaoke night and participate. At night while on the computer I play Cd's and sing along (ask my wife, she complains about me waking her) while everyone is in bed. Up until about two years ago I wouldn't sing in front of anyone because I don't really think my voice is great. But I got over the county sounding voice phobia and started singing karaoke.
A studio does make a big difference. It kind of like Photoshop improving a picture. It cost $75.00 to record song (1hr) and that was because a friend of mine new someone.

Scott, it's a shame you don't have your computer set up for it. I have oodles of Karaoke files (including a few country ones that I could send you), and Paltalk (www.paltalk.com) Karaoke rooms would LOVE you!!!! |

OK, Scott, I am speechless. Your photography, your dedication to this community, civilized manner, singing skills, etc. I'll stop now before I start having trouble getting out of your butt:-)

I will have to check that out. I guess I will have to get a good mic and do karaoke. But then I would never get up to take pictures :)

I think I have finally figured out how to do this (via yahoo briefcase, LaMerry).
I'll make a total fool of myself, after Scott's incredible performance, but hey..... I can handle it *g*
Please keep in mind that it was just me and my computer, no help (and I know I NEED HELP!!)
Warning: barely mediocre voice singing an (shock horror) OLDIE, called
That ole devil called love |

LOL... They are countless people better than me in singing and definitely in photography. I do thank you for the complement on "civilized manner".
