I admire those who have a focus and concentrate on a particular field, those who shoot primarily one subject. I like to see how far someone can go with the art. (I'm not knockin anyone that has a wide range of interests, like myself even. I'm still searching for my niche.) But to have settled in to get so much out of a subject, it seems like then, real genius or discover happens. Reaching the next level. Amazing photos, outside the box.
I'm not so sure how to find those type. It's difficult to do a search on something like this. Can anyone point out people here that are doing this? Someone who primarily shoots one type of subject, a narrow field. |

Hey, The good Doctor also takes sweet pictures of ferrets.
That's good for a dash of wildlife photography right?
Heh. Myself, I have a really narrow band of style. Pretty much every picture I ever take follows the same general theme.
Basically, my style of pictures can be summed up in just one word: Crap.
:)
Actually, some people have commented that the ability of a photographer is not linked to much more than the ability to open the eyes and find what is beautiful.
It is one thing to focus in professional work, but a true artist would have difficulty keeping such a narrow field in personal works as well.
Beauty takes too many forms.

Wow. This is exactly what I meant. I went to Bobster's blog and found this comment:
"I'm not really that keen on Oasis, but then I've not really been a fan of most of the bands I've taken photos of this year. I never really understood the music industry when I was a musician but I now get it as a photographer. It's all really a fashion show."

Imagineer does some really neat light-play.
I also love xion's work with motion blur.
You might want to check out these DPC photographer interviews for more inspiration.
