brent ward ~ nice website. Some of those frogs are insanely vivid! Talk about colorful!!! I like the website design. I've been shopping around for a template I like ~ one that's smooth and sleek, but also accessible to more than just those on LAN's. Yours looks like a good balance. Not to mention the great photography!

Brent ~ thanks for the tip. That looks like a pretty cool forum for herp folk. Some great shots in there, too!!!

Although I've long been a closet herps nut, I don't have a lot of herps pics. Here are two from last Spring at the LA DPC Clan's trip to the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve:

We found the lizard on a path, and he was inquisitive and seemed unafraid. He let us shoot him for several minutes up close and personal. Finally, I was shooting with my 100mm macro within a foot of him, and on a whim I reached out and tickled him under his chin, which he seemed to love. For that I earned the nick "The Lizard Whisperer."
The rattlesnake was found by someone we did not know, and a small crowd gathered, which he did not like at all. The fact that I had nothing longer than the 100 macro along didn't help the situation. This was shot from about 6 feet, as close as I dared to get (he's only about 3 feet long).

Edit for typos
