I got an error message instead of the shipping page. It says "We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

definatley. Every little bit does help. I love that we can all joint together and through our numbers create great strength. Thank you very much.

hmm... maybe try again now? I just did a dry run of it, and it worked just fine. If it does not work, PM me and I will try to work out something more specific just for you.

Just sent some money your way. My paypal account didn't have anything in it, so it'll take a couple of days to clear, but it's on its way :)

This is so cool...hmm...couldn't think of a better phrase. Just love to see this kind of kindness. One of the aspects that makes this place unique.

okay... wow you guys. STOP!

lol. I didn't think I would have to say that.

As of now, I have $217 in my paypal account from the DPC community. Keep in mind that the camera and printer bundle is $205. So we have raised more than enough money for that.

That amount is without my $50 and alieniyst's which is pending. That brings our total to $317. So I will now buy her a memory card and set her up with spare ink and paper.

I have to say, I can't believe that this went so well. I had expected to get a little to suppliment what I gave, but I had no idea that the people on this site were so generous. You have all done such a good thing. I am beside myself.

GOSH, while I was writing this, I have gotten $50 more. I'll post now and edit later so you guys know what a great job you have done.

drake.

a battery charger with some rechargable batteries is a must I think..especially with the cost of batteries these days and how quick digital cameras go through them.

I was just thinking the same thing....or take her out and help her choose a bag!

This is a very awkward/hard age. I wouldn't go back and do it over for a million dollars. Junior high was ssssoooo tough. It will make a huge impact on her that there is someone who cares about her and being a part of her life....believe me......I've been there....and it makes all the difference. :)

Thanks.

Just thought I would let you guys know that I have ordered the camera for Shawnee. I got the Kodak Easyshare c330 4mp camera with the series 3 printer dock. I also got the bulk package of paper/ink, enough for 160 prints. Since she doesn't have a computer, I got her a 1GB SD card so she can store lots of pics inbetween backup sessions. I also got a cheap tripod and carrying case. I want to say thank you again. I can't believe that this has been so successful. I can't begin to tell you how much this has meant to me. BTW, I told her mother about we have done and she said "cool, can you get them to pitch in for a new TV too?" LOL.

Glad you got her a complete starter package - cam/bag/pod. I hope she is happy and puts it to good use. I am sure she will.

Remember that tone doesn't convey well on the Internet, I'm sure the IV comment was made in jest.

Drake, this is a great thing you're doing for Shawnee. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we're happy for the opportunity to help her out!

dang you guys, sorry it has taken so long for me to show shawnee's response.

She really was pleased. She was taking pictures all night, and she really lit up. Here is the shot I got of her opening the gift from DPChallenge. I love the look of surprise.

As I said, she walked around all night taking pictures. Here is one I took of her "chimping"... they do start early. hehe.

Again you guys, I can't say thank you enough. You have made a little girl very happy and given her an outlet that would never had existed without the wonderful people of DPCallenge.

Thank you
