Does the system log, record, or otherwise save, people's personal, private messages sent to eachother?

If so, who all has access to those messages?

if they ARE logged, d&l would be the only ones who could theoretically see them. i honestly do not know, however.

for legal liability purposes, it makes sense to keep an archive.
