All three examples should be OK in my opinion. Any other SC members disagree?

On the third one with the see through border. Allowed if faded but not allowed if in another layer and used any mode other than normal. Only Normal mode allowed. I think we need to know how the border was established before we say yes or no, Correct?

Not really... borders tend to fall outside the normal editing rules. After all, you'd need to make a selection to create the border in the first place, and selections aren't normally allowed in Basic.
