If any of you are thinking of ordering from DigitalRev in Hong Kong....please take note of my unhappy experience with them.....Clearly looking at all the positive ebay feedback it is fair to assume that when their process works well there are few problems.

However, if you request something their process doesnât normally deal with â in my case delivering to a different address (and country) from my billing address, their incompetence begins to surface. It took half a dozen emails to confirm that they could do this â however they still dispatched my order to my billing address.

UPSâs profoundly inflexible/customer unfriendly process compounded the problem â despite picking up the mistake within an hour of dispatch in Hong Kong, UPS insisted on completing the delivery all the way to the UK (again many emails/phone calls telling them this would be in vain and the package either needed to be redirected to Spain or returned to DigitalRev in Hong Kong)â¦

DigitalRev clearly either have no influence over UPS or just couldnât be bothered doing anything to rectify their mistake. Eventually after sitting undelivered in the UK for about a week the package was returned to DigiatlRev in Hong Kong. UPS tracking showed it arrived at Hong Kong airport on Dec 21 and then subsequently vanished.

DigitalRev to date (Jan11) have done nothing to recover it and have told me that âAccording to our policy, we could not replacement or refund, sorry about it.â The £21 I paid for postal insurance is either a fiction or DigitalRev are not prepared to action it.

Their customer support service is extremely unresponsive â donât expect anything better than a 48 hour responseâ¦.and they clearly feel no responsibility for the fact that they have taken over £1,600 from me and to date have failed to deliver my order.

On the other hand, such protections keeps someone from using my credit card to purchase online and have product shipped to Spain.

These are protections, you simply have to be aware of such. Another question, did you add your shipping address to your approved addresses listed for the credit card?

That is required by many companies.

I've had pretty good experiences when dealing with them and have bought quite a bit of stuff from them. It would appear to be your slightly unusual circumstances that upset the apple cart. Their response to emails does, indeed, seem to be a little tardy (especially when you are waiting anxiously for a new toy), but I haven't found them to be dismissive or careless.

Just keep emailing them. Or, if you bought through eBay, try contacting them as well perhaps.

I wish you well with this and hope that it all works out for you soon.

Was planning to get the 70-200 2.8 IS from them, had a lot of good feedback from other Aussie members. May have to reconsider now.

Thanks for the warning though.
