I've searched the forums, but have not found an answer to this yet.

I need a good, relatively inexpensive web calendar for posting on my website. Something that is EASY TO UPDATE with my bookings, and will integrate easily with my website.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

If you want it EASY TO UPDATE, then you need to have the ability to use server-side script with your website. How is it hosted? What script can you use?

Good questions that I do not know the answers to, but I will find out.
Thanks!

I had added two more suggestions to your original thread, not sure if you saw those.

Yeah, in your last thread which mk pointed out, someone has said the same thing:

Go to //www.sourceforge.net. It's a large repository of open source, free software. Search for calender, I'm sure you will come up with something that will run on your site. BTW, for most calender programs to work, you're going to have to be able to run PHP, ASP or some similar language. If you can't, you might look into using Yahoo's Calender.

Basically, you need to find out if you can run either PHP or ASP.
You'll then need to put the script on your webserver, which isn't difficult if you've done it before but it can be tricky the first time. People here will be more than happy to help.

The problem with using a free third party calendar which is not run from your server is that it will probably be down a lot of the time, and won't be reliable. Not great if you're using it for business.

//www.dotproject.net

There is a calendar, contact management system, project and task organizer, etc - it's really huge. It's FREE and it's open source. If you have a website host that allows it, THIS IS what you want. It takes care of SO many issues at once that I have to have to recommend it highly.

If you don't have a webhost yet for your domain, consider powweb.com as they allow LOTS of cool add-ons and actually help you set it up. You could set netproject up in about 10 mins on Powweb. Not sure bout other hosts...

Thanks all, and SO SORRY mk, I DID remember that thread and DID search the forums but couldn't locate it, Thanks again.

Unfortunately, my web host does not support server side scripts at this time, so it would have to be something that is hosted elsewhere and linked to my website.

I will check out all the links, I appreciate it.

You may want to check into Airset.com also. Great web-based program (is in php, but you do not have to have it on YOUR server.
I use it, but I also have a php for ON my website. This is integrated into phpNuke though.
Both of these are updated automatically when I change, add, delete, etc stuff on my Mac iCal program. They are suppose to work with Windows also.

No problem. I'd added my last post awhile after your original one so I just wanted to make sure you'd seen it. :)

Just also found out that Airset is available on Verizon Get It Now also. Of course that is airtime and a subscription of $6.49 (doesn't state the length of subscription that I could find), but you are able to take it with you on the phone, too.
I am not gonna use the mobile part (my bluetooth update is just fine), but am able to share the other cals with people I choose, and not use my servers bandwidth. :)

I've experimented with Webcalendar which you can find here: //www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php
It's ok but maybe a bit cumbersome. I've not really got around to making it customised and nice looking but you can see what i've done with it here: //www.ceilingrocks.com/tbot I know it's not pretty ;-)

As others have mentioned, you'll need to have php and MySQL on your webserver. These are pretty standard things to be able to add to a webhosting package though. I'm pretty certain that's what dpchallenge itself runs off (php MySQL i mean).

Once you (or your computer clever friend) have set this up, then there's a fairly simple web based interface to add events, just like Outlook or what have you. You can also publish a iCal feed so your Mac or Linux box will import the webcalendar information every day or hour or so. You can't do that in Outlook, it's too lame.
