Hi,
I was going through some old stuff which belonged to my dad (he died when I was four), and I found two lenses. One is a Bower Ultra Wide Macro S-VII 0.6X, and the other one is a Macro +8 lens. Now I know what they individually can do, but they were stacked together. These lenses are like more than 20 years old, but in pretty good condition. I don't understand what they were stacked for. Can they be used together for something? The Macro lens is giving me some great results. I don't have the adapter for it for my FZ-20, so I was just holding it in front of the camera. |

I used to "stack" ALL my filters by screwing them together, for ease of transportaion. Might be as simple as that.

Yeah, I thought so too, but then the case they were in was built exactly for them to fit in stacked together. But I think you might be right. Stacked together they don't do anything. Can't even focus. I tried moving them back and forth, at 1x zoom and 12x zoom, tried everything I could with my FZ-20. Nothing.
Well I guess I just got two free lenses ;-) Now to get step rings for them. Thanx. |
