I want to thank everyone for their comments on my Mother entry:
I didn't honestly expect it to do well, but I'm obviously very pleased to have been able to take it. It is in fact a real positive test. My wife surprised me with this news Christmas morning, and I will admit that it is undoubtedly the best Christmas present I've ever received. It was also a cool coincidence that Mother was the new member challenge that same night.
I know that there are plenty of photographic problems with the image. I do want to point out in my defense, though, that the second line in the plus indicator is blurry by nature. I tried many ways of sharpening it, knowing that this would be a problem with the image, but nothing legal looked natural. I'm sure someone with more photoshop experience could have solved it better.
Either way, I am thrilled to be on my way to becoming a first-time father (keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly), and I'm happy to have the chance to share the news with this great community. |

| Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the encouragement. I'm afraid my photography time is going to be very limitted for the next few months as we struggle to get our house in order (nursery to build, etc.,). But I'm so excited that it will be a good outlet for my energy. |

Congratulations!!!!
I went through the same thing less than a year ago.
Charlie is now 10 months and 9 days old and yesterday he took his first un-aided steps!
It is un-arguably the best experience you will ever have - enjoy it! |
