Ever love your entries, then go back the next day and look only to get that "Hmmm, maybe I should do this or that more to it" or a "Not sure if that is the one I want to enter or not" blues? LOL....

I'm having that with my Free Study. There is just TOO many to choose from. I am also having a hard time choosing for my backlight entry. I took about 200 shots yesterday, and about 30 of them fit the challenge and came out technically well. Some better then others, so lets say about 20 choices. STILL too many!

I do love my burst of color. There is one thing I don't like much about it, so I may reshoot it today. But if not, it goes in as is. I love the subject matter, but of course, I got another one of those yesterday too. Actually, several to choose from, but I am sticking with the original subject matter which I think is pretty nice.

Ughhh, choices, choices, choices. You just NEVER know!

sometimes I re-edit an entry for 5 times the day after I submit.... :S

I know what you're talking about! Maybe I'll shoot my burst of color idea tonight, if I don't I won't have time to enter anymore.

...

Allright. I'm gonna do it, in 5 minutes (first one cig..)

Huh. I lied. I didn't keep my original burst of color. I really wanted something different in the photo particularly. I went back today to reshoot the subject, to find the PERFECT difference I wanted. BUT the place where the subject was? It was moved. No more color there! Figures. Those things hadn't been touched in months. Now all of a sudden someone needed them? GEEZ.

So, I went with choice two or three. I sent them all to a pro photographer I know (non member to any photography site). He HATED my original entry! LOL....Good thing I got 2 other choices. We were both unanimous on one, so I fixed it up and it is ready to go. I love it and what I once thought was a loss has become what I feel is a gain.

I have also unsubmitted my free study. I have to go through some of the 200 shots I took yesterday, and have another excursion coming up as well. So I am going to hold off on that and not rush to judgement. WHEW! What a week of excitement! New places to go and shoot? WOW, so different for me. LOL....

I'm disabled, and don't really travel for fear of going outside of known perimeters. It's odd, but true. However, I have vowed along with my husband to make the 6 hour drive this year to take our son to Disney. We will be going in December. So I have to start taking little trips outside of my safe zone in order to get the nerve. Photography is helping me do that. It takes my mind off of other more stupid things, and I am constantly looking too and fro for something to shoot. LOL....(Yesterday I only ran a teeeeeeeny bit off the road side though, while my head was spinning with new sites, textures, and smells..LOL) So, next weekend, we go to another place. Soon the butterfly house opens not to far away, and the zoo. So WHEW, its going to be an exciting photo year.

Anyway, I got sidetracked there....So I pulled my free study. Me and my bud photographer also were unanimous on my backlight entry, which was a relief. One less to redo.

As a side note, my mentor in photography thinks this site is dabomb. He says it is like a "huge photo class". He is thrilled that the themes make you think and improve your photography at the same time. He is a 35mm guy by heart, and to fathom the photos on here by digitals he says he would have to spend days on in the dark room, but he is getting digitally equiped soon. He may join! I hope so!
