If there were advanced editing challenges for non members, what would be the incentive for people to actually pay the $25 dollar memebership? IMO, you what what you pay for and if you want to make use of the advance editing rules then you should become a member and support the site. I use the term "you" very loosely, I don't mean YOU specifically, just people in general. I know of other sites where you can't enter any challenges unless you are a paid member so we should be glad that is not the case here.
