Hey everyone! Still alive and kicking here! Barely, but still going.

It's been an unreal last couple of weeks, between everyone being sick and my computer dying it's been a rather sucky end to one year and a sucky start to a new one.

I can't enter the best of 2005 since all my shots are on my computer which is packed up and ready to head back to the factory since it is still under warranty. On the plus side it only cost me $70 to have the entire hard drive backed up onto another hard drive and put in storage until it comes back. But for him to back up all the pictures so I could enter the challenge would have taken about 30 CDs and about 2 weeks he told me. "I'm a photographer." I replied. He laughed and said, "Yeah, I got that impression from looking at the pictures."

So that was a little boost to my ego. :)

I'm on the laptop, which absolutely sucks for editing so I won't be entering the Free Study either :(

On the positive side I did get another pet shoot set up the pet store in Corning for the 4th of February for Valentine's day. We talked about how to make it better for everyone, first, I won't print on site again, that was a nightmare there. Second, I'll split the advertising with them and third, people will come back for the proofs and any extra they sell I will give them a percentage of the sale.

Here's hoping this year just keeps getting better and better!

Oh and on the other upbeat, a friend down in Florida was cleaning out her dad's studio and found a reflector and some studio umbrellas that she's sending me so I just need to find some stands for them. So maybe it will be alright after all :)

Sorry to hear about your computer, Deannda. I had a hard drive do total melt-down last February, so I totally relate! Unfortunately, mine lost about 9 months of un-backed-up pics :( I learned the lesson. Spent $70 for an external HD and save copies of all pics there now.

Good luck with the new studio gear. That's a lucky find. He have anything else stashed in there? :)

Don't know yet, she's still cleaning it out. It was her dad's studio and she said she would send me stuff as she found it. I am truly blessed when it comes to her as a friend. :)
