The lens mount pins are probably bent or the mount itself out of alignment and the trigger button is likely jammed too...should be easy to fix...unless the lens mount is bent...that'd be major. Ouch!

Well, I finaly got the camera into Canon and got the call today with the estimate:

Replace damaged Shutter mechanism - 15 days and $350 - ouch!

Oh well, at least I get a new shutter out of the deal. Could have been worse, I guess.
