I might be able to meet up a little earlier, maybe. Eden will probably be coming with me so I'll check with her.

was thinking of doing the King Center and maybe Oakland Cemetery.

What time is good for whomever wants to meet up early?

I have a dentist appointment earlier that day but after that I am open.

Meeting up early sounds good. Let me know what time.

I'm in for an earlier time ... what time are you thinking? The King center is an easy place to meet - free parking, single entrance, etc.

Ok how about 3 or 4.

I have a dentist appointment that morning at 9:45 and I will be there until 12. I can stop and get lunch and then head that way and be in Atlanta by 1 if an earlier time is what we decide.

Anytime is fine with me. I live close and can meet whenever. A note for the night meeting...After 15 emails and a few phone calls to MARTA, I finalle got a contact. I spoke with her briefly this morning to answer a few questions she had. I told her that we would probably be there around 9:30 at the Garcon deck with a group of about 12 for a half hour or so, and that we were shooting for personal use. She said that she'd run it through the proper channels and get back to me soon. I'll keep you guys posted. It really is one of the best views of the skyline in the city.

Ok I will be at The King Center around 1:30 - 2:00. Who else should I expect at that time?

Jen and I are thinking about getting there at 4:00. We can call to see where you're at and meet up with you.

I'm still looking forward to this. I've got two photography friends here in Augusta that may come with me. However, I won't know until that day. (Freakin' people that don't like planning ahead. =0P) I'll def. be there like I said. I should be there by 6 or 6:30 p.m. I'll give Jen a call when I reach town to find out where you all are. =0) Just in case you all decide to eat somewhere different.

Alrighty all, next Saturday is coming quickly. Let's hope it warms up a little bit by then, I'm a big baby when it comes to cold. Plus, it's damn hard to avoid camera shake when your shivering. :-)

I'll call Jocks and Jills and see if we'll need a reservation for a large group (I'm sure we will). Please let us know if you'll be coming. I'll probably reserve for a few extra just in case.

I'm happy to see there are some new names this time around. Will be great meeting/seeing everyone.

And I will be at the King Center around 1:30. Hopefully my list on the first post includes everyone. If I left someone out pm me and I will add you there.

Sorry, got some conflicts, not gonna be able to come. My parents wont be home either so they don't feel comfortable. Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused. :\

No inconveniences.

Maybe the next one you can have your parents come along. I am sure we will be doing a spring shoot somewhere close

Yeah that would be cool. Actually, they would be ok with it if I brought a friend, but they arent even going to be in town, so naturally they feel a litle uncomfortable. I'll definitely be at the next one though.

So 1:30 @ the King Center??? Would that be the A option on the linked Google map?

Google search for King Center in Atlanta
at 449 Auburn Ave?

What's the plan? Shoot downtown all afternoon, eat supper @ Jocks & Jills and then make a late night of it shooting cool night photos til what time?

Lately there's more of a chance that we'll pickup some last minute business but as of now I'm coming down by myself.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to get down there, probably more around 4:00ish. I'm gonna try for earlier just depends on how much kid time daddy can handle with the boys. :-)

I'm gonna call James (Rex) when I get close to find out where they are. But then, yeah meet up for dinner at Jocks & Jills at 6:00 and then off to shoot until I'm not sure. I'm guessing around 10:00ish for me.

@KevinRiggs - Are you planning on driving back that night Kevin? I may have a guest room available if you need a place to crash. It all depends if my father comes back from his golf trip a day earlier. Let me know and I'll let you know when I know, ya know? :-)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this weekend. My wife surprised me with a cruise in March and I need to save the time off. Sorry. I was really looking forward to meeting you all.

At least you got a nice surprise Wayne. Maybe next time.

Kevin the address on the website is 449 Auburn Avenue. I was looking for directions myself but have not found them on The King Center's Website.

Also I was planning on 10 or later. If I feel ok. Getting a deep cleaning on my left teeth that morning.

Wha? Huh? 1:30? I thought this was a night shoot. But if folks are gathering earlier, I'm game unless something comes up at work at the last minute.

The King Center is on Auburn Ave off of Boulevard. Or on Irwin off of Boulevard. I can never remember, and I pass by it all the time. Somewhere in the Sweet Auburn District, near the Old Fourth Ward.

The Jackson St bridge is nearby; it has a great view of downtown, as mentioned before. The Carter Center and Oakland Cemetery are within a five minute drive - in opposite directions.

Larry a few of us are meeting early at The King Center.

Do we need permission to take photos of the Capitol building?

I will try and find directions to the King Center before Friday.

If anyone is coming from North of Atlanta and would like to meet up then ride together to Atlanta then PM me. I will meet you somewhere.
