I'm ready! Anytime, anywhere. Are Saturdays definitely best for everyone? I can make it on the weekends, but it would be more convenient for me during the school day...

I don't miss U guys, because I've never met you peepz. But I'm def. looking to get together with you guys. I went out and bought circular polarizers for both my Nikor lenses earlier today. Then I went out and had some fun with the d70. Where is Jennifer located? Weekends work better for me too, but I need 2 weeks notice so I can ask off for work. Spring's only a month and a half away anyway...at least here in Georgia. So why not shoot for the weekend after Valentine's Day?

The weekend after Vaentine's Day is fine. If it is ok for everyone else. I just figured this way we could plan better. You should miss us either way. Hopefully we will see you there.

HaHaHa...I'll def. be there. Lookin' forward to getting some tips/tricks. =0)

Weekends or evenings would probably be best for me, hard to find a daytime babysitter.

Hmmmm, my way.... well there's Sweetwater creek; hiking trails, old mill ruins, creek, lake, ducks. That type of stuff.

There's also a waterfall that Eden and I have been to a couple of times that's nice to photograph. Can't think of the name right now but it's nice. As long as it's not a huge group or we'll be getting into each others shots for sure, small place. But sometimes there are horses and riders out there. So it might be nice.

There's also, Old downtown Douglasville. It's ok, but not huge.

There's also another park that Eden and I have been to, Clinton Park, with hiking trails through the woods, old cabins and usually a horse or two.

Mostly rural stuff out here, nothing too exciting. :-) Eden's (Jaxed) on Vaca in Florida right now, but when she gets back maybe she can chime in too. She always has good ideas.

My weekends are usually pretty open so you guys throw out some dates and I'm sure I'll be able to make it. :-)

Oh yeah, I'm out in Douglasville. Westside off the twenty past Six Flags. But if you guys can think of something better I'm up for travelling.

Edit to say, the weekend after Valentine's day would work for me. :-)

Atlanta would be fine also. Just whatever you guys decide is fine. If so maybe we can get into the Aquarium.

Why don't we go ahead and plan it for Feb. 18th? I can go ahead and ask for that off from work. That way we have a firm date and then we can decide on locales, etc.
01/01/2006 09:07:29 PM · #10
As long as no one else thinks that is too early It is fine with me.

I have an idea... and it's just an idea, but would anybody be interested in trying to do a night shoot in Atlanta? Try to get some good nightime skyline shots of the city and such? I would never do it by myself but if we had a few of us getting together it might be fun.

Then once Spring hits full bloom, pardon the pun, we can get together again. I'm really wanting to hit the Dogwood festival in April. Could get some great candids and they usually have the Canine competition going on too. Anyone up for that?

Night shoot in Atlanta sounds fun! I've got some car friends that live in that area. I love Atlanta's nighttime skyline.

Night shoot would be great with people. I'm scared of the dark. Maybe Centenial Park?

I've actually always wanted to visit that park. It's sad that I live only 2 hours away and I've never been there. =0)

That works for me, then maybe we can head over to Atlantic station. Might be able to get some good shots of midtown from there. Anyone have any good vantage points that they've shot before at night?

What's this?

Another GTG?

1234567 . . . Count me in!

I have yet to manage a night shoot, but the city lights up beautifully. Centennial Park should be great. You have to pay for parking at Atlantic Station, but there are some nice views of Midtown from there. Or, rather, at least one view that I noticed on my way out the other day -- without my camera.

I'm in, depending on when. If it's during the week, it'll have to be a last minute decision for me because of work.

Count me in. Just let me know when and where and I will try my best to be there. I like both sugestions. Centenial park is nice at night and Atlantic Station offers lots of arcitectual shoots as well as swedish meat balls at Ikea. :)

No need to worry with a crowd you think? We all will have camera equipment. Anybody going carry?
01/02/2006 07:28:54 PM · #20
Mmmmmmm, swedish meatballs!! :-)

I think we'll be okay James, I'll just whack 'em over the head with my tripod. I'm not a slight little thing ya know? :-)

Rex, carry what, I alrady have that 20 pound back pack. Kevin has probably the most to carry from what I saw last time. Joke aside, should be no problem if you are in a group and don't leave anything un supervised. And by then I should have my permit (gun)... Ha - comes with the job :)
01/03/2006 10:16:00 AM · #24
You guys want to meet for dinner, say at the Jocks and Jills at CNN center (where we had lunch before) say like around 6:00 or so?

Then we can take off from there. If so, I'm not sure if they take 'em but we may want to make reservations. Not sure if there's anything going on at Philip's Arena that night or not. We're still planning it for Saturday the 18th it looks like?
01/03/2006 04:33:07 PM · #25
Works for me.

By the way, the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Baily Circus will be at the Arena that weekend. Insert joke here.
