The DPchallenge website was down last night from 9:30pm-11:00 so I was unable to post my summission. I was livid and still am. But here is what would have been my photo. Let me know your thoughts and how I would have placed. I think it would have placed really high. Thank you. Now I have nothing to watch for a week.

nice shot...probably would have voted it on the upper end of the scale.

It's "nice", but there are others that would have stood out more to me. I would have probably given it a 6. I start all out at 5, and if I like the detail or the technicals, I give another point up, but the subject matter would have to appeal to me personally and I think others upped their game there then the rope shot. So probably a 6 vote from me.

I'd have given it a 7. Technicals are all there. Composition is ok. Nothing particularly grabs my attention about it though.

Well I went to bed without my entry in, woke up real early this am, about 5:30 saw the site was up, did a real quick redit and got it entered. Went back to bed, got up less then an hour later, and rollover had occured. Not doing well, about where I expected, but at least I have my update button to keep me occupied! Not real sure why I even woke up early though.

yeah the site was down when i was going to submit my entry too.
i was disappointed because this'll be the first challenge i'll have missed
but on the other hand .. if i hadn't left it til the absolute last minute ... I wouldn't have to worry about it
that's ok tho; i had a lot of trouble finding a "pattern" as I understood it to mean (aka a repeatable fill, symmetrically shot & balanced etc)

I'm sorry for those of you who missed out on the Challenge...what a disappointment. I like your Pattern shots that you weren't able to enter. I only voted a few 9's and two perfect 10's this time...I'm done now, but I found a lot I liked above a 5 or a 6 score. I scored higher for originality or a really beautiful comp.
I'm bumming...mine started out above a 6, my best yet, but has dropped to the high 5 range. Dang. Hope people get in a better mood. :) |

Well I usually upload a shot, but ALWAYS change it or re edit it after I veiw it here.
So thankfully, I got my shot in, but I would have done more work on it FOR SURE. It is not what I would have entered and my comments are exactly what I expected on this, my sad, not final draft :((
At least I got one in, I suppose.
Ah well, City Life II, here I come!!
Congrats to the Phobia folks, best challenge entries I have seen in ages! |

Rae-Ann, I don't know which was your entry in Pattern, but I liked your Distillery shot...I remember liking that one!
Good luck in City Life...we live on a dirt road in the country, so guess it's Shapes for me. :) |

Yes, I am excited about City Life, already have a great shot in mind!
One day I'll get a real camera and hopefully the 4's will no longer show up on my profile! :)

This one is not really a missed entry as I posted a pic to Oops II but I only recognized that it's an exclusive challenge when I wanted to post this one to Pattern. So feel free to take a look and make comments here (as I have no portfolio yet).
