Help me! I'm visiting my sister for the holidays, and I've been helping her update her computer [antiviruses, firewalls, etc...] She had a windows update icon in her taskbar; turned out it was for SP2. I got the install going, and then about half way through the computer shutdown. When nothing happened, I turned it back on. I don't think it was suppposed to shut down... =] It booted up and said that the setup had been interupted. I was going to remove the partial installation, but my control panel won't open up. The computer is also running really slow.. HELP! What do I do?
She's running XP SP1 on a Dell Inspiron 5100.

| Reboot in safe mode and choose "last known good configuration" .. hopefully that will roll you back prior to the install. |

| You can also try System Restore if it is turned on. Hopefully you have a restore point that was set yesterday. |
