| I got a 1gb memory card for camera...a really nice tri pod extends up to like 5 1/2 feet tall or more im about 5'10 and it will alomost extend right up to my eye =) got 200$ and some clothes... o yeah got some Lens Filters 3 of them!! and i got some Kicks....(Converse All Star) |

| I got some nice stuff and a few cool books, but looking back on it my biggest joy of the day was watching what will probably be the last year my eleven year old daughter wasn't too cool to be enthralled my the magic of Chrismas morning. |

I got A Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW!! I also got the 2000 Nimh (sp?) double AA batteries with the charger (I specifically asked for this:) for my Sigma Flash. Let's see....I got an electric screwdriver (the one that bends!), an electric blanket!!!!!!, ladybug massager, ladybug seat covers for car, ladybug steering wheel cover (yup, love ladybugs), housecoat, portable CD player with the plugin part to a cassette player for my car!
My kids made out like bandits this year! My oldest boy is in Alaska so he didn't get to spend Christmas with us....he called last night and I think he was pretty lonely (just intuition) he got some shirts but mainly money (I think he's figuring out it's not very personal, even at his young age).
I think one of the best parts of this Christmas is Troy has a really close friend and him and his family were broke. We didn't know but just happened to stop by the store where his wife worked to drop off a couple of little gifts for them and the kids and she choked up and said she felt bad because the kids weren't even going to have a christmas (because of a string of several unfortunate events). We left ... looked at each other said...."nope, ain't gonna happen". So we went to Troy's parents and asked if they would like to 'donate' to the money we were going to contribute and they did! So Troy calls his friend (who has NO idea we know, he's very private that way) and said he needed to talk to him. We took his girls (3) on the 24th and Troy sent him on his way to go shopping to make sure the babys had a Christmas!!!! What a great feeling!!!! Mind you....our Christmas' are always very tight and this year was just a huge blessing so we were able to actually reach out and help someone! It has really made my day(s).... :)

I got two gift cards to Ritz Camera who I went to see this afternoon and used towards a new flash for my camera. Got a Quantaray QB-6550U Digital Flash with a Dedicated Flash Module so it fits my camera, checked it in the shop, it works great, feels good on the camera. Other than that, not much, Christmas is more for the kids :)

colyla, that doesn't surprise me a bit. you are a very warm hearted person indeed. and to your list of helping people out, you can add me in, the camera is a dandy, i absolutely love it, and it has made my christmas brighter. I am still learning it, but i came across some real nice sunset photos tonight, and learned alot.
You and your husband, are pretty bright stars, on the prettiest of nights. Merry Christmas to you and yours from all of us here.

Just not sure what to get with the gift cards just yet. Just looking now at B&H website.

Very touching story and the true meaning of giving at Christmas. You'll be rewarded for your kindness to this family even more than you already have been.
I had posted in another thread that much to my surprise Santa brought me a new laptop. I could do nothing but cry and then say "are you sure we can afford this?" ;) I also got a pretty pair of gold earrings from my daughter. The thing I needed most was a change from the norm this Christmas because I lost my dad this year. We went to Shreveport for 2 days with my youngest daughter and had a wonderful time. |

My big-ticket item is the Simoniz S1900 Electric Pressure Washer. 1,900 PSI.

I know I am kind of late posting here but I just saw tis thread...lol
well any way I got
Three big gift cards to B&H
Clothes
And a Sony PSP (OMG I love this thing) I just figured out how to get vid's off of youtube and put them on my psp, I got all the funny foamy (illwillpress.com) vid's. Cant stop playing it now... the games are awesome, I put a few pics of mine on the psp
I'm gonna use the gift cards soon I may get a lens or the 400D not sure yet....
looks like alot of us here got great stuff :-)
