Does anybody think it would help if the person that submits the photo was allowed to leave comments on their submission?

I've been asking for that for over a year, but the majority seemed to be against it.

They didn't have to explain it to ME. I was able to look at that photo and figure out that one reason someone might submit a photo of a flag in a challenge titled "Speed" was to show the speed of the wind. Try photographing the wind--no matter how fast it's moving--without photographing an object upon which it can act.

Admiral Sir Francis Beaufort invented a scale for estimating the speed of the wind based on observations of its actions on common (at the time) objects. Beaufort 3 ("Gentle Breeze" from 8-12 MPH or 7-10 knots) is described as "leaves and small twigs in constant motion; wind blws up dry leaves and paper from the ground; extends light flags" (emphasis added)

Other leading titles might be "Wind Speed (est.)" or "Faster Than Beaufort 3"

My point is that if you can now see the relationship with "the words," you could have seen it without them, and that the relationship is still a valid one even if it is not obvious (to you).
