I am getting a 350d for christmas, but have been using my dad's 300d. Now I thought I heard that the 350d has less noise, but I just read somewhere that they are both similar. Should I expect a decrease in the amount of noise?

I had the 300 and ran it for a year and bought the 350 in July and it has less noise than the 300. I have shot at 800 and 1600 many times and only some displayed high levels of noise |

That is what I thought, I guess I just misunderstood what the guy was saying (the one who I though said there was no diff in high iso noise performance).
Thanks for the help.

i heard or read somewhere that while they have similar amount of noise the 350D noise looks better, more grain like rather than noise. dont remember where i heard this from.
