Yep, great time yesterday, too bad I forgot to bring a memory card...

Wasn't aware of that. I had an empty 340mb Microdrive in my bag. :(

I also thought the GTG was a success even though we didn't see much of the outside of Amsterdam and more the cafe/restaurant and pub sides of it :) I very much enjoyed it and it was a pleasure to meet some fellow DPC'ers. Thanks for putting it all together Az! Let's hope for a part two GTG or maybe a German GTG soon.

PS: I ate far too many spare ribs!

it was really great to meet you all and I had a fantastic day. It was to bad that I had to leave early :( We should do this again soon!

A Petersburg GTG would be great too. :)

Next Amsterdam GTG in May, June, July or August. When it's warm there are 'terrasjes', that's 'gezellig' as well. And I shall make sure that I have a place to sleep and a day off next day. :)

I have to say I am looking forward to a next GTG. Maybe we can go to the Begijnhof in GTG2 so we can visit FOAM in GTG3... And if everything goes well, we finally can go the Heineken Experience in GTG4 ;-) No, just kidding: Thanks a lot for organising it, "Boss" Azrifel!

Most odd... Were you using the chatroom at the same time as browsing? I've had reports of some routers not liking the chat and photo browsing at the same time, and may require you to restart your router. Other than that, I've no clue, coz it's all working fine for me...

I know this isn't strictly speaking photo stuff, but I've uploaded a coupla short (20sec) vids that I shot during this GTG. They give a better feel for the GTG people than the photos do, if only because there's sound so you can hear our inane chatter :o) Oh, and apologies for the fast pans, it's only a tiny p&s cam after all!

Video 1 (19mb) - at the start of the GTG
Video 2 (20mb) - sheltering from the cold in a bar

Enjoy ;o)

EDIT: You need to save the videos to your PC, not try to stream them from the server, since the server doesn't support media player in that way.
