I drive a truck for a living, and until last monday I never left home without my camera... But this week my wife talked me into leaveing it home for her to use at the kids school. Low and behold I missed 5 chances to get good photos of snow things in north Jersey and a chance to get a photo of 6 deer in a feild drinking from a half frozen pondat dawn.AAAAWWWWWWWW how stupid. For christmas she is getting her own camera.

sounds like she really wanted a camera and keeping yours for a couple days would make you realize it lol. She's sneaky.

Yes she is sneaky! I WILL take her shopping today. Looking at canon 10d.

speaking of...hope you don't mind me hijacking or diverting your thread a little...how do you like your Z3? I was actually thinking of getting my wife the Z5. She wants something with a lot of zoom and preprogrammed scenes but easy to use. I played a little with one yesterday but didn't really like the way it felt in my hands so wasn't really sure if she would like it either. (What is up with the grip? It's weird shape and doesn't feel comfortable or stable when I hold it.)

I also am not sure about it cause I have olympus right now and don't want to step away from using the compact flash or XD cards since we have some of those already. Would hate to switch to another but might if the camera is good enough.

Give her the Minolta and get a Canon 20D "for the family" :)

Don't listen to women! Actually listen carefully and do the opposite. It took me some time to learn that.
