How about if you have been a active member for over a year you get a colored icon, and if you have been a active member for 2 years you get something els.
know i know that the SC have colored icons but they could be given something els, maybe they are also ready for an upgraded icon.

the colored hat is what got me thinking about it, realy thouh, wouldnt it be great to add a little incentive to things. maybe a icon next to your icon that symolizes the amount of challenges a member has won. |

| i think it would be awesome if you got to be the colour of your ribbon for the week - but that is a lot of extra coding just to look pretty |

No, won ribbons completely irrlevant for forum entries.
Maybe rather how many forum posts the member has posted, repsectively giving them names like Newbie, Frequent Poster, DPC Maniac,...

maybe after dpcprints2 is done, after we get better portfolio navigation and after we get enhanced PMs. I still like the idea of a user's country flag under their name better than this one, but I get the reasons

| well its just a suggestion, i mean look how happy we all are when something happens thats new, we got two challenges a week now for everyone, we had the poll, and now we got santa hats. these little things that D&L has given to us are GREAT and it's keeping us happy, |

| actually now that I think of it, DPC's forum is very barebone and stripped of features like avatars, poll creations, emoticons and stuff like that. Depends on how you look at it though, coz it also means a clean interface and good for those with slow bandwidth. |

lol do you know how long it took me to create santa hat icons for over 49,000 users?
Well, okay, I didn't do them all one by one, but it still takes a long time to add the hats to the SC icons which I had to do one by one :)
I don't even want to think about the amount of time it would take to make a new colour icon everytime one member had reached a 1 year milestone! Thats on average over 130 new icons per day! lol
