The other day it was suggested that the PM boxes and a tlittle teenyweeny for all the typing we do in them. Could we please extend that request for bigger text boxes to the comment field on the images as well?
It isn't a problem when you write a line or two during a challenge.
But when you go to CC an image, it would be nice to be able to see a little more of what you have written. The great CC's tend to be at least a couplpe of paragraphs, and for people like me who can't type to save thier lives, you miss a lot of your gibberish that needs correcting when scrolling.

I like to type my crit in a blank email (or notepad) and copy and paste it. that way, for some reason if there is a problem with the submission of the critique, I can just copy and paste it again, and not have to write it all out again. I can also see how big the critique is and review it without scrolling. It works out in a lot of ways that way. And, I can write the crit while viewing the photo at the same time by setting the email box (crit box) and photo next to each other on the screen.
Lots of advantages there. |

Seconded!!
More space to type is cheap and easy - literally a three character change in the code
-or-
make it a user-defined preference. Once again, just as easy. Well, a little more code but still easy peasy.

I have just started using the "Preview" button .... what a revelation!
Yep the boxes are small for doing CC but now that I've discovered the Preview, I don't have the problems that I used to - and my critiques tend to be looong.
I don't mind the smaller box because at the 1280x960 resolution I run, I can see all of the box as well as the landscape format image without annoying scrolling. I forget how important that is until I am reviewing a portrait format image where I am continually scrolling up and down as I try to address the image and write.
So whilst more space is always attractive, I can't make up my mind whether i like the idea or not.
