Out of curiousity. If someone has a photo that pretty much has an outcome that seems rather impossible or makes the viewers question the integrity of the shot. They've legitimately followed all the editting rules and all. Then they do a tid bit of post production and accidentally saved over the original file and shut down the computer. So what you're left with is the post processed copy.

During the challenge or something, you're asked for the original photo, and you haven't got it. Can you tell them the truth, and just show them another shot from the same shoot at pretty much roughly the same time?

Unfortunately you must have the original. There was a case of an incorrect date and because it was a new camera that just came out that the date would've been impossible, but it was still disqualified.

Always work on a copy of the original. When saving alway use "save as" then rename instead of "save", which will write over the original.

Darn, that means I've got to go out at midnight and shoot again. Here comes the security guard staring at the shoot.
