As most of you know, I'm a new guy in this forum (just got here July 4). Because I am not a paying member, in challenges reserved for paying members, I can only comment on entries that are up for scoring. That is perfectly fine with me, but I think the manner that the thumbnail entries are presented for comments can be improved - how about randomizing the thumbnails for each session that the member (paying or non-paying) logs in? In that way,
1. the thumbnails on the first page don't get the unfair bias for getting a member's comments before any other entry does
2. we, as commenters, do not get more familiar with one set of thumbnails over another
3. we won't get "comment-fatigue" too quickly
I hope randomizing the images the way I proposed here isn't too much of a programming chore. Otherwise, forget it. My two pesos... chalc |

I think the thumbnails are randomly different for each user.

But that does not help if the random pattern generated for one user remains the same for the entire voting week. At the moment, I can tell you exactly what the first 10 pictures I'll see the moment I open the "unanswered questions" challenge. It would be better, I think, if it gets randomized each time I open a session for the reasons I've stated earlier. Just my thought. |

I was actually like this for a time, but the problem was, when you moved on to page 2 of the thumbnails, it would randomise again, and you may get some of the same pictures as on page 1, and sometimes there would be a picture that you never saw. People asked that the randomness was fixed for each user, and so it was done.

Ok... so I bow to history. Thanks for the info. |
