i emailed blogspot about it ... let them figure out whats going on...

Try turning comment moderation on....republish...then go back and turn it off.

Try turning comment moderation on....republish...then go back and turn it off. |

| For any of you who are using the template that Konador edited... what do you do with pics that don't fit in the little boxes? So far my 3 photos are all 'portrait' oriented, and I never manage to crop in the same little rectangle shape anyway. |

I just put them in so that it reaches the edges, either left/right or top/bottom, and leave the rest as black padding.

| I remember hearing some of you having problems with coming up with ideas to focus on. I just had a great idea from my wife. She subscribes to a 'word of the day' email. She was thinking that I could use the word of the day to create my daily photos. I thought it was a great idea for those days I feel the onset of photo block kicking in. Just wanted to pass it along to others. |

Forcing myself to stick to a theme narrows down a lot of the options for me to shoot, but it's also forcing me to think and look at things differently in order to 'do it right'. My ego does not allow me to just take and post any old picture anymore...it has to be something that I enjoy looking at, that I would be proud to display, that would not waste someone else's time if they looked at it.
So three days go by and I already feel that I'm running out of things to take pictures of...I'm stuck in my house all day now, and I spent so much time wandering around, trying to find a good black and white shot, and I didn't see too many more that I could be taking.
Yet I'm still trying, I suppose. Something will hit me and I'll find a picture worth taking, right?
I'm going through other people's blogs, trying to leave a comment on everything I see, but there's already far too many to keep up with. I cam promise that I've looked at all of everyone's photos at least once, but commenting is restricted to my whims now. I'd love to be able to tell everyone what I think of their pictures but it's waaay too much.
Anyway, just some ramblings from me on the topic at hand :)

I'm probably too late to chime in here, but thanks to the inspiration you've all given in this thread, I also started a PAD. Didn't post earlier though, because I'm still working out the bugs. As of now, I've done my 4 entries - yay for procrastinator me - 4 days down, only 361 to go!
There are still some things to work on, like all the sizes are inconsistent still, but I'll fix it up as time goes on. I'm using PixelPost, which I really like.

Is anyone else hosting Blogger on their own? Mine has a bug (I think). The comments don't show up unless I republish. Then the comments appear and I get the notification emails as well. Is that normal, do you know?
Btw, thanks to everyone who has been commenting. I don't have time to comment every day but I will make my way back through this weekend and catch up a bit. The comments have been very helpful. Thank you!

Go to your dashboard and click change settings then click "comments" and check that section

Thanks, rex. I've looked there and looked again, but still nothing that would be causing this. I emailed support yesterday but I don't think they'll reply. The only thing that it may be is maybe server name and password. Maybe it has to be saved in Blogger. I was just entering it when it asked. I'll see what happens. Not a huge deal.
Btw, in case anyone wants to "sticky note" a post to the top of their blog so it's the first thing that's seen, you can do so by dating your post in the future. I set mine to 2007 and it's now at the top of the blog. If there's another way to sticky note something, I'd be interested in hearing that as well.

A couple of blogger questions.
Can anyone tell me how to add a description to the title of the blog? I have gone to settings and added the description in the right place, but it still doesn't show up.
And, why can I only comment as anon on the Buzznet blogs?
