I think a person should be able to enter as many photo to a challenge as he or she wishes. Or be able to have one image in each weekly challenge.
I entered the "Phobia" challenge then went to enter the DOF II challenge and was told I could not do that! What's Up With That!!!!

| the idea was to try and stop the challenges having 600+ entries |

| The split was done to alleviate the large number of entries in the open challenges. It was getting to be 500+ weekly. |

You do have the option of removing your phobia entry, at which point DOF will become available to you again; but only one of the two.

as soon as there were 2 non-paying challenges at the same time. |

Wow, I'm glad I didn't spent a lot of time on an entry and then find out I can't enter it. I didn't know that was put into effect.
Is it only and always marked " Exclusive Open Challenge"? |

It has never been possible to enter both open challenges. And yes, they have always been marked "exclusive."
