I saw a lot of great shots. But a lot of them are literalisms at best and not puns at all. However, knowing that people don't follow the rules when voting, some of these will be at the top I am sure and others that are true puns will be lost in the shuffle.

I've got a solid 4.0 going, which ain't bad as I was really expecting my last minute shot to wind up in the bottom of the barrel with around a 3.5

Well, my score fell 1/2 point in the last three hours... I guess all the cranky, Monday morning voters are making an assault on this challenge:)

Mine has started a downhill slide the last hour or so. I also got one of the nicest comments I've ever received and from a guy no less. ewwwww grosss (6)

And I was so sure of this one :( I almost explained my pun in the title but I thought it was pretty clear from the photo. Now I wish I had. 3 good comments though :)

started just over 6 but slipping. Some really good entries, I found myself clicking 6 and up many, many times.

Seems like lower scoring overall than I would expect. Heck, I'm nowhere NEAR the 8.2 I wanted. ;-)

I would say if it started out that good you will have a very nice finish. I like how you came back to rub in the fact you got a fav. on it. lol

I am surprised too how low many of the scores being posted in here are. Maybe the higher scoring ones want to keep it a secret. Think this might be the case Shannon? :)

WHEW! I'm finally climbing. Maybe I am not as old as I think I am. I thought it may have been too old of a pun, but seems it is sparking the minds after all. So far, I have made my goal.

I'm wondering if my score is being driven by voters who don't like the photo or didn't get the pun (I thought it a very simplistic/universal one).

I must admit I am kind of slow sometimes at catching things (yep a true blonde here). I voted but plan to go back over all of them to see what I missed. :)

Cindi, I am thinking this morning voters finally got enough coffee down them to see and understand better. Mine has broke the 6 mark now. Maybe yours will start heading up too.

I'm interested in how people are voting. If the pun is funny AND well executed, than it's a no brain'er. But there are some entries that I find funnier/more-clever than others, but may not be as well executed. Are people voting on the pun, or the picture - obviously on both, but I wonder where voters are putting the emphasis on scoring? I've had to fight the urge to vote on the funnier pun and really concentrate on the execution of the picture (after all, this is a photography challenge). Anyone else going through dilemma? How are you approaching it?

My pun isn't funny at all....but my picture is pretty good...

And this will be my highest score yet...so I'm pretty sure people are rating the picture not the pun.
