What is your favorite photography magazine?
I like "Photography Monthly" and "Digital Photo Pro" but as a family member is asking me if there is something I would like a subscription to, I sure would hate to miss out on one that all of you think is super.
Please offer up your favs. |

outdoor photographer, the skateboard mag (not a photography magazine but excellent imagery), Photographer's forum is nice.
I like the mags that focus more on photographers and the images of different mediums, rather than the 'gear based' magazines. Some magazines are like straight digital product guides and reviews..way more about equipment than photography. Im not into reading about gear. It's interesting to read what certain pros use, but way more interesting to read about and look at the images they make. |

American Cinematographer is my fav but as you can tell its about Cinematrography which is a complety different medium but there is still lots info that is useable to the still photographer. I think if you realy want to learn how to light you need to work in the movie biz. I find in GENERAL that most still photographers are limted to softlight sources. In the movies you almost never place a light on the camera..... why becasue it looks like poo all flat. Anyways I think I went on a rant and got of topic but anyways..............

Outdoor Photographer is my favorite, and Pop. Photography is all right. I also like some of the photoshop magazines out there.
